What is that lunatic appeal of chasing the light way out on the bleeding edge? The surreal romantic plight of the lost seeker? The hunt for moments more acute, more poignant? And when it inevitably strikes, even the bittersweet taste of disillusionment somehow satisfies. Because even it is more flavorful than the mundane? Thus we must suppose that the chase is enough, because we know that even when we get there, we can never hold it, never keep it. It would seem then that it is sufficient to be engaged in the quest for a more satisfying connection to this moment, regardless of how fleeting or costly. The roller coaster ride of the chase is enough, and dare I say, more real than the everyday.
